In the Sales, Service & Buying Seminar Series we examine the process of selling wine (or any other beverage) to a customer. Beginning with a high level overview of the goals and responsibilities of the sommelier, and then zooming in on the intricacies of the sale. “Sales” touches on adjusting your sales tactic according to the restaurant environment, working with colleagues, personal presentation, troubleshooting tricky situations and the all important conversation with your guest. You also learn all of the logistics of how to manage a bar: Inventory, budgeting, list building, laws and regulations, supplier relations etc.
